Meyer-Fonne 2021 Riesling "Vignoble de Katzenthal", Alsace

Noticeable petrol, an expected note for Riesling, but this is in a way I can stand behind. Petrol, sure, but it's tucked between racy layers of salted pears, apples and whispers of honeycomb. A dry Riesling built to serve at the table with cured meats, eggy dishes, poached white fish and it is gorgeous with dishes like regional, Chocroute Garnie, a dish of thick sausages, hunks of ham, potatoes and sauerkraut cooked in local Riesling. Now my mouth is watering.
