We are big fans of Samantha Sheehan’s wines and in particular her Rose each vintage as the region and variety she makes it from changes upon what she can source and what she really likes. This vintage she found some brilliant Grenache and this weighty, meaty little Rose reminds me a bit of the Roses from Tavel. Darker color, a little gamey and with crushed pomegranate and blood orange. Full body and with a long finish. Rose but with more umph.
