Intense aromas of Granny Smith apples, pears skins, and lanolin. The aromas are met with firm tannins and acidity that keep the wine in balance and under tension. Deeper mineral aspects associated with Chenin Blanc have been the goal since the get.
Description

This 100% Chenin Blanc goes through a long natural fermentation and again in neutral founder. Bottled directly from Cask on its lees. The wine is left in cask on lees for 12 months.

Citrusdal Mountain area and the word Skurfberg (Rugged Mountain) mainly referees to the edgy and rough appearance of the mountain. The soil is mainly decomposed Table Mountain sandstone formations and tends to be very sandy.

This site for Chenin is very unusual because it is so warm and dry but still produces wines with enormous texture and freshness.

12 months aging in big old oak casks

The Wine Country.
