Varnier-Fanniere Champagne Grand Cru Brut "Cuvee Saint Denis", Avize

Produced from very old vine Chardonnay vines this is an intense and serious Blanc de Blancs. Rich, nutty, creamy and with hints of yeast. The finish is quite long and fills the whole palate. Drinking great now and has the stuffing to hold up in the cellar if you want to watch it evolve. Think big flavors, cured meats, cheeses, fried chicken and maybe even mild Indian dishes.
