Zuccardi 2024 "Series A" Torrontes, Argentina
The Zuccardi Torrontés 2024 arrives like dawn mist hovering over Salta’s high valleys—floral notes of jasmine and orange blossom rise first, followed by a precise shift into mandarin blossom and a swirl of starfruit and pineapple. It opens with arresting clarity, not exuberant volume.
On the palate, the wine unfurls in crisp arcs of fruit. It reads dry and medium-bodied, propelled by vibrant acidity and a tilt of tropical zest that stays teetering on tension rather than sliding into syrup. The finish holds—cleansing, saline, gently insistent.
This clarity comes from place. Produced from vineyards in Cafayate, Salta—one of the highest in the world, soaring above 1,800 meters—where intense sun and cold nights coax ripeness without extinguishing energy. The high-altitude heat shapes fruit, the drop into evening preserves its lift.
From harvest to bottle, the winemaking follows the same choreography of restraint. The grapes are gently pressed and fermented cold (15–18 °C), then aged six months on fine lees—textural breathing room, not aromatic burden. The result is Torrontés as clarity, not flamboyance.
This is wine for pauses, not performances. Serve alongside ceviche, grilled scallops, or just a moment when your mouth asks for freshness and clarity, not ornamentation. It settles into memory, not spectacle.
Zuccardi Serie A Torrontés 2024—Andean morning in a glass, all lift and light, never overripe.
