Albert Boxler 2023 Edelzwicker Reserve, Alsace

  Alsace is one of the few regions in France where the grape variety is almost always prominent on the label, that is with a few exceptions, like Edlezwicker. This is a blend that can, and does change by vintage and is offered as a snapshot of the vintage, and a true taste of the region. Typically a blend of Pinot Blanc, Pinot Auxerrois, Riesling and Muscat, and in this case the wine is fermented dry, so don’t be scared off by Riesling or Muscat. This vintage offers great stone fruit perfume, some orange blossom and just a hint of mineral. Fun wine for spiced foods.
