Chateau De Chantegrive 2022 Graves Blanc, Bordeaux

There are two white Bordeaux:  the lofty chateau bottlings that cost an arm and a leg and you’re not really sure you like them all that much—and—the crisp, fun, satisfying dry whites that you pull out of the fridge every night to get the road dust off while you’re trying to figure out what to cook for dinner.  This is the latter—a 50/50 blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon that offers a bit more than the modest price suggests.  Very pleasant fruit with a lightly herbaceous character, ample fruit and a pleasurable, slatey finish.  Refreshing.
