One of the great, historic vineyards in all of Portugal's Upper Douro Valley under the stewardship of the Symington family (Graham's, Dow's, Warre's, Smith Woodhouse) who make tiny amounts vintage port here in good vintages. They still use foot treading.

Dark, dark magenta colored. Beautifully structured, sweet, lovely flavors with excellent balance. An elegant Vesuvio.
"The 2024 Quinta do Vesuvio comes from five different terroirs within their portfolio, the fruit foot-pressed in granite lagares. It has tightly wound blackberry, melted tar and subtle marine notes that verge on Japanese nori. The palate is more open and expressive with its rounded, supple tannins and velvety texture. There is an underlying pepperiness that surfaces towards the quite ravishing finish, yet this is a Vesuvio that will benefit from several years in bottle."--Neal Martin, Vinous
