Adrien Moreau N.V. Champagne "L'Excursion" Tradition Meunier

After Adrien Moreau took over winemaking from his father Fabrice, he did a label overhaul and came up with so many qualifiers “Cuvée Tradition”, “Cuvée Meunier”, “L’Excursion”, our head is spinning.  Let’s just say the truth is in the wine.  And it’s quite a ride.  A noticeable cast to the hansome bubbly, pale, but dark enough to tell you this is made from red grapes.  There is a lovely aroma with a little toast and a little red cherry coming through.  The same descriptors can be used for the well-balanced taste.  After spending 20 months on the lees, there is a lot of flavor here, but not over-the-top.
