The Appleton estate is located inland in Jamaica, and all its rum comes from its own sugar cane. At 265 years, it is the oldest sugar estate and distillery in continual use on the island. The signature blend is the estate's entry-level rum, and I found it to be a clean, lovely rum with a lot going on. It's a blend of 15 different rums aged an average of 4 years. You'll find the usual hints of molasses, dried citrus and perhaps some wood in the aroma and flavor.
