Breaking Bread 2025 "Al Dente" Red Wine, Sonoma County
Dry tea like tannins up front lead to rich notes of blackberry and boysenberry that coat the palate. A dry finish allows this wine to be very food friendly.
Winery's Notes:
“To the tooth,” Al Dente describes the ideal consistency of something when cooked. We believe Breaking Bread’s Al Dente is the perfect light and bright red wine to pair with the food being served in today’s best restaurants or by itself on a summer afternoon.
This 50/50 Grenache–Mourvèdre blend is our fresh take on a classic Southern Rhône pairing, bringing together the spice and earth of Mourvèdre with the bright pop of Grenache fruit. Named Al Dente, it’s all about that perfectly fresh, “not overcooked” style—crunchy, red-fruited, and made to be enjoyed slightly chilled. Sourced from organically farmed Mourvèdre from Mizany Vineyard and Grenache grown by Randy Peters in Pauline’s Vineyard, it’s a beautifully balanced, food-driven wine made with grapes a tractor ride away from the winery. With super small production and our favorite expression yet, this one is as fun as it is delicious.
