Chateau Clauzet 2015 Saint-Estephe, Bordeaux

“Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois annual tasting, the 2015 Clauzet has a feisty but engaging bouquet with plenty of red cherry, cranberry and crushed strawberry fruit that leaps from the glass. The palate is fleshy and confit-like on the entry with plenty of cranberry and pomegranate fruit, nicely judged acidity with a hint of spice toward the cohesive finish. It will need a couple of years in bottle but there is good potential here. This is another Saint-Estèphe 2015 that has shown improvement in bottle versus barrel.”—Neal Martin, RobertParker.com
