Every vintage, this is one of the most sought-after roses in our store. Chateau la Canorgue's fresh-tasting rose has equal parts Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, that scream Provence, only with a bit more depth.
Description
Technically, the Luberon is part of the Rhone Valley, but make no mistake, everything around this wonderful estate screams Provence: the olive grove hillsides, a real Roman spring on the property and nearby, the storybook hillside village of Bonnieux. Produced from roughly equal parts Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, this wine shows remarkable poise and grace for a southern rosé. Floral berry notes in the nose with stone fruits are followed by a wine with crisp acidity and good length. There are flavors of anise & fennel that are a tell-tale sign of Canorgue’s terroir. Pull out the olives and the pétanque balls and you’ll think you’re in Provence!
