An easy going red Bordeaux with some of the earthy, gravelly character we expect from traditional wine from Graves. Surprising depth for a wine at this attractive price.
Description
Look for the gravelly-earthy taste in the wines of Graves, particularly Pessac-Leognan, the heart of the region. Isabelle and Paulon Calvet, cousins of the sparkling wine producer in Bordeaux, crafted this handsome red made from 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. Even though it has an impressive depth of flavor, there is nothing extreme about this really good tasting wine. Easy-going and drinkable.
