A bargain Saint-Emilion from an estate once owned by the King of England. 70% Merlot 15% Cabernet Franc and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. Well balanced and a long aftertaste.
Description
In 1999 François Janoueix bought this historic property, once owned by the King of England, Chateau Gazin and Charles de Seguin. After years of neglect, the property was rehabilitated and now a modest production of about 660 cases are made each year. This blend is created from 70% Merlot 15% Cabernet Franc 15% and Cabernet Sauvignon aged 18 months in oak barrels. With a dark red purple color and fine, intense aromas, it is a full-bodied wine, well balanced, with fine tannins and long aftertaste. Suggested pairings with red meat, cheeses and poultry. Enjoy now.
