Domaine Camp-Atthalin 2022 Savigny-Les-Beaune "Les Planchots", Burgundy

The family that owns this domaine began growing vines in Savigny-les-Beaune in the early 17^th century, but it was in 2017 that the 13^th generation began the Camp-Atthalin label. They are farming biodynamically and committed to the health of their soils and vines. This delightful 2022 Les Planchots offers what great Burgundy does best, big, layered flavors, but with a lacy, elegant texture. Red cherries and black currants sewn into violets and some balancing earthy flavors. Spread across the palate, staining it with pretty, and primal flavors. The finish is typical Savigny-les-Beaune, lovely and flecked with the perfume of place. Gentle enough for fish and chicken but also lovely with simple meats and cheeses.
