Domaine Courbet 2023 Cotes du Jura Savagnin "l'Origine", Jura

Domaine Courbet is located in Nevy-sur-Seille in the Jura, not far from the German border.  Making just 75 cases of the Savagnin (the local white wine variety) there is a roasted, toasty aroma, probably from the oak, but perhaps due to the wild yeast fermentation.  Medium straw in color, it has a mouth-filling texture, as luxurious as an aged Meursault.  And then the flavors expand.  Big fruit.  Big flavor.  Serve this with anything you’d serve a Chardonnay with.
