A bargain, considering the average age of the vines is over 60 years. I love drinking this wine young, but you may be surprised to see the development after four or five years in the bottle.
Description
In recent years, Domaine Colette’s Beaujolais-Villages has been one of our most popular. Perhaps it is because it delivers so much for the money. Average vine age is a remarkable 60 years old. Supple, silky tannins while preserving all its fruitiness. Lively when drunk young, but with time there are well-ripened, almost jammy fruit aromas. Food and wine pairing: poultry, particularly duck and squab. Serve cool to the tongue.
