Domaine du Vieux College 2022 Fixin 1er Cru "Les Hervelets"

The Vieux College winery is located in Marsannay, and the commune of Fixin is located in Burgundy’s Cote de Nuits, known for more powerful and saturated red Burgundy/Pinot Noir. This domaine is now on its 7^th generation and their history shows in the quality of fruit here. Darker red fruit, spice, a touch of that teriyaki, sweet savory, rich kind of deal. IN the mouth the wine shows restraint, but it also gives plenty of layers and complexity. Plenty of stuffing here and this wine will do best with a little decant or with a couple years in the cellar.
