Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard 2024 Chassagne-Montrachet, Burgundy

This is the first time in many years this lovely Chassagne has been available to us.  Fontaine-Gagnard has amazing holdings, including vines in Le Montrachet.  When this village Chassagne was introduced to us, we jumped at the opportunity to secure a few bottles.  The influence of new oak barrels on the aroma is evident at the first whiff and sip, but there is enough juicy fruit to balance it all.  It is a fun, bright, full-flavored white with just the right amount of fleshiness that finishes a bit tangy.  Nicely integrated wine.
