Domaine Gaston & Pierre Ravaut 2022 Corton Grand Cru "Les Hautes Mourottes" Cote-d'Or

The Ravaut family name has been traced back to Burgundy since 1897 but the domaine actually came to be in the early 1930s. They remain a tiny production, just 5,000 cases total annual production, all organic farming. This Grand Cru Corton, they make just 600 bottles and I astonishes me that we were able to get some for the shop. Nice dark color, deeply aromatic, spice, black fruits, coffee and hints of blood orange. Coats the palate like only Grand Cru can and the finish keeps going forever. A Grand Cru for this price is insane and one of this quality and rarity, nearly unheard of.
