Domaine Jean-Claude Credoz 2022 Chardonnay "Vieilles Vignes", Cotes du Jura

I first sampled this wine at the Credoz estate in the hilltop town of Chateau Chalon in the Jura.  I had heard that some quality Jura Chardonnays could resemble fine aged Meursaults, and after tasting this ever-so-slightly oxidized, full flavored old-vine example, I knew exactly what the old timers meant.  This is a totally unique flavor for Chardonnay, and a wine that will perform well with a mushroom cream sauce poured on nearly anything.
