This wine is said to have been grown in the same swath of limestone that runs through the mighty Corton Charlemagne. We'll be enjoying this wine often.
Description
The Joannet winery is in Nuits St. George, but the grapes from this bottling come from the limestone soils of Pernand Vergelesses, near the great Corton Charlemagne vineyard. It has an astonishingly beautiful perfume. Full in the mouth with plenty of presence, the excellent white wine finishes with a satisfying minerally aftertaste. We can’t wait to try this again.
