Domaine Jocelyn Raoux 2023 Lirac, Rhone Valley

Lirac, an appellation west of the Rhone river not too far from Tavel, is known for producing lighter-styled reds with a nod to its south-of-France origins.  This wine is a 50/50 blend of Grenache and Syrah, beautifully ripened into an elegant-style red Rhone.  Don’t let the 15.5% alcohol dissuade you from trying this wine out—we didn’t detect any heat on the palate.  With beautiful aromas and flavors of black fruits, the wine retains its juicy character throughout.
