Sourgal is the name of the hill where Stefano Perrone grows this marvelous muscat. The flavor is sweet and harmonious, balanced by the typical acidity of Moscato. An ideal brunch wine and also something wonderful to sip in the late afternoon.
Description
Sourgal is the name of the hill where Stefano Perrone grows his marvelous muscat. The color is a bright, vibrant yellow tending towards green. The aroma is intense and varietal: reminiscent of acacia and orange blossoms, yellow peach, sage, and freshly picked Moscato grapes. The flavor is sweet and harmonious, balanced by the typical acidity of Moscato. Just 5% alcohol, making it an ideal brunch wine and also something wonderful to sip in the late afternoon. The winery suggests serving this as an aperitif with small savory snacks, or with a not-too-sweet dessert such as a tart, cookie (I prefer butter cookies) and dry cakes.
The Wine Country.
