Forest-Marie 2012 Champagne Premier Cru

Records of vines being grown by this family date back to 1746 and as a result of two vine growing families joining the estate of Forest Marie came to be. Dedicated to making wine as natural as possible through mulching and the use of only natural fertilizer, their limestone rich soils produce vital and beautifully structured fruit. Made from 50% each Pinot Noir and Chardonnay this 2012 is showing a noble balance of broad shoulders and muscle, along with supple, creamy and generous fruit. Giving some honied notes way in the back with toasted bread and cream on the finish. Wonderful on its own but confident enough to hold up to richer dishes full of cream or salty cured bits. Perfect gift for a true Champagne lover.
