Winemaker Randy Schock has created a very civilized Pinot Noir rosé that hits all the right notes. It’s an easy drinking rosé with a light salmon-color, a correct rosé aroma, a round and silky texture, and pleasant, balanced flavors.
Description
In July 2020 Milla Handley, one of Anderson Valley's wine pioneers and the founder of Handley Cellars died at 68 from complications due to COVID-19, shocking all of us in the wine world. Trailblazer Handley had been the first woman winemaker in the United States to establish a namesake winery. Milla’s daughter Lulu McClellan now runs the winery along with Milla’s co-winemaker Randy Schock, who still serves as winemaker. Schock has created a very civilized Pinot Noir rosé that hits all the right notes. It’s an easy drinking rosé with a light salmon-color, a correct rosé aroma, a round and silky texture, and pleasant, balanced flavors at an impressively modest 12.5% alcohol. A terrific legacy.
The Wine Country.
