Since 1920 the folks at Islay Mist have been taking Laphroaig and Speyside Whiskies and blending them together to make a peat forward but balanced Blended Whisky.
Description
Your taste buds are introduced to the peat up front, but not overtaken by too much smoke. Savory tea leaf and baking spice notes bring a liveliness to the spirit while delicate notes of vanilla add just a touch of creaminess. The peat pops up again on the finish, but just like at the beginning doesn't overpower anything.
