Lancelot-Royer N.V. Champagne Brut Cuvee Blanc de Blancs "Des Chevaliers"

Lancelot-Royer was established in 1960 and is located in the Kimmeridgian soils of Cote des Blancs. Average vine age here is 20-30 years old, all of which are planted to Chardonnay. Randy came in recently absolutely effusive about this succulent Blanc de Blancs. There is a purity here. Something pristine. Like it is too, well, almost too, immaculate to drink. That is until you open it up and then, then the sultry, layered, wildly intoxicating fruit comes spilling out and stains the palate in a way it can inspire goosebumps. Sexy. Just plain sexy.
