We have been stocking this noble domestic Rose for about 5 vintages now. Inspired by the great wines of France’s Bandol region, famed for their dry, herbal, complex Roses, this offering from Liquid Farm has given them honorable nod.
Description

For years we’ve admired owner Jeff Nelson’s terrific Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs, especially those from the Sta Rita Hills, but this is the first time I’ve personally experienced his impressive dry rosé.  Made entirely from Mourvèdre (the majority component of some of Provence’s greatest rosés in Bandol), this all-too-easy-to-swallow version has managed to keep the alcohol down to 11.5% while keeping enough ripeness and fruit to provide a delicious quaff.  So soft on the palate, our only warning is that your4 bottle will empty quickly, so be prepared with a backup plan!

The Wine Country.
