Passerelles 2024 Sancerre, Loire Valley

Given the out-of-this-world popularity that Sancerre has acquired recently, is it any surprise that the formidable Jackson Family of California might want to get in on the Loire Valley action?  They purchased the estate where Passarelles is made and this is their first bottling.  I must say I am quite impressed.  It’s an exceptional, elegant Sauvignon Blanc with a nice core of fruit in the middle, going all the way to the end.  In the nose, there is little herbaceousness, having tamed this quality.  A light touch of grapefruit can be found.  It is a statuesque, serious wine with a handsome finish.
