A superb, rare Champagne made entirely of Chardonnay. "The 2019 Brut Blanc de Blancs Fleuron is gorgeous.  Rich, ample and seductive in the glass, the Fleuron is so showy today. Lemon confit, marzipan, spice, dried herbs, cedar and a kiss of oak."
Description

Didier Gimonnet directs this superb estate, located in the Premier Cru of Cuis. With 29.4 hectares of holdings in Grand and Premier Cru villages, predominantly in the Côte des Blancs, Didier’s family has been growing grapes in Champagne since 1750.  Pierre Gimonnet, Didier’s grandfather, started bottling estate Champagnes in 1935.  Seventy percent of Gimonnet’s holdings are over 30 years old.  Gimonnet’s outstanding wines are built on the strength of the terroir that he and his brother have expanded in the heart of the Côte des Blancs. Cuis is “neutral, acid, fresh, aerial:” this north-facing village is the coolest in the Côte des Blancs. These are sapid, crunchy, refreshing Champagnes of acupuncturally tonic qualities with lingering, salty purity.

It has a light straw color, with yeasty aromas.  It's fruity and packed with flavor.  It’s a big wine.  "The 2019 Brut Blanc de Blancs Fleuron is gorgeous.  Rich, ample and seductive in the glass, the Fleuron is so showy today. Lemon confit, marzipan, spice, dried herbs, cedar and a kiss of oak all meld together in the glass. Lifted tropical overtones add a decidedly exotic flair. The blend is 39% Cramant (Grand Cru), 36% Chouilly (Grand Cru) and 25% Cuis (1er Cru). "--Vinous
