Poderi Luigi Einaudi 2021 Dolcetto di Dogliani, Piedmont

Dogliani is a small commune in southern Piedmont that produces some of the best Dolcetto wines, typically being fuller bodied and earthier than Dolcetto wines produced in Alba.  Einaudi’s Dolcetto is quite a lot of wine for the price. It’s rich and smooth with concentrated dark berry fruits and notes of earth and underbrush.   This well balanced wine can pair with a wide variety of foods from pizza to hearty soups to rich pasta dishes or roasted meats.
