Rocca di Montegrossi 2025 Rosato, Tuscany

This rosé marks a happy stylistic departure (even the bottle shape is different) for this celebrated Chianti Classico producer, leaning more toward the south-of-France style rather than the leafy-herbal and, frankly, sweet versions that have made previous vintages so controversial.  This Sangiovese rosato is made from younger vines grown in the estate’s great San Marcellino vineyard. Sporting a pretty pink color and a delightfully inviting aroma, it has more crispness than ever before, making it pleasantly refreshing and easy-to-drink.  The winery suggests sipping this wine with grilled fish, grilled chicken, salumi and olive tapenade.
