Rombauer 2023 Zinfandel, California

This is a handsome Zin made from a winery with a long history with this traditional variety.  This wine comes from select vineyards in four top growing regions: Amador, El Dorado, Lake County and Napa . Aromas of cherry jam and blackberry, underscored by notes of nutmeg. The dark berry notes continue to the palate, leading to a rich body with soft tannins and a lovely acidity, ending with a lingering finish. The winery suggests pairing with lamb kebabs, soy and ginger short ribs, and chili.  91% Zinfandel, 9% Petite Sirah.
