Spreitzer 2023 Riesling 101, Rheingau, Germany

The 2016 vintage was one of the best in Rhengau since 2011, and it shows in this estate wine from Spreitzer. This Riesling is medium dry and very focused, with tropical fruits (pineapple), dried apples, peaches, custard, lemon peel and lemon curd. There is a honeyed sweet note but well balanced with sparkling acidity and slatey minerality to a clean, dry finish. Pair this with grilled chicken, Asian cuisine, pork dishes and river fishes.

Brothers Andreas and Bernd Spreitzer are well respected in the famous wine region of Rheingau in Germany.
