Esprit de Pavie 2019 Bordeaux

Chateau Pavie, which can trace its history back to Roman times, is a top-ranked Saint-Emilion, reaching the Premier Grand Cru Classé (A) pinnacle in 2012.  When the estate’s vines are too young to go into the heralded chateau wine, they are used for the Esprit, the 3^rd label of Pavie.  Half of this blend is Merlot.  It’s a ripe, rather handsome Bordeaux, juicy with some grip, and it continues to be a terrific value.
